Energy Assistance applications will be provided to each Tribal Office in each community within the Tanana Chiefs Conference service region. For Fairbanks area, applications are available at all Tanana Chiefs Conference buildings and clients are referred from the State of AK. Makah LIHEAP creates flyers and has the flyers posted on various social media, the Tribe's Facebook page, and the Tribal Portal at Makah.org. Maintains contact with local public utility (PUD), and pellets vendor's offices, sharing information initially when funds are available and throughout the year and recommends when PUD, propane, or pellet client faces disconnect or termination notice or doesn't have pellets for heating, the LIHEAP program funds may be available to the client and that they can apply for heating, cooling, or crisis assistance by contacting our program.
